Mark has been around Antique Cars and Hot Rod Culture since the 1950s, starting out at his dad’s Ford dealership in Villa Grove, Illinois. Mark had a natural drawing ability at a young age that developed further while in school and continued during a hitch in the US Navy. There he became his squadron’s painter where he learned sign painting along with mural work. Mark’s painting ability served him well through the mural painting craze on vans of the 1970s. His fascination with the arts and the automobile contributed to the development of his career in Automotive Art, Pinstriping and Graphics that have earned him a reputation of the highest standards and quality work among modern and antique auto owners, Streetrodders, Hotrodders and Motorcyclists today.

Mark’s work has been seen on many show winning cars at AACA shows, and other Streetrod and Motorcycle events, including many Streetrod and Motorcycle Magazines such as Rod and Custom, Popular Hotrodding, SuperRod, Streetrod Builder, Truckin’, Northern and Southern Rodder, Easyriders, VQ, American Iron, Iron Works, Hot Rod Bikes, and Classic Cycle Review.

Mark moved to Asheville,NC. in 1980, where he resides with his wife and daughter. They still have the 1956 Ford choptop pickup he built himself after moving to Asheville. The limited edition print of “Devil with a Hammer” was created from the original painting located on the radiator cover of his ’56 pickup. Mark can still be found attending automotive shows taking pictures and gathering research material for his next piece of Automotive Art.
